    Lightbulb 3m hangers

Has anyone used 3m Command picture hanging strips to hang wall quilts?

I have used them for smaller wall hangings. Someone on QB informed me that they come in different weight capacity. Weigh your quilt, and then get the right ones.

I haven't used them for quilts, but have found that they sometimes remove paint from the wall when you try to remove them.

I'm not sure how well the strips would stick to the back of a quilt and I'm not sure I'd want them stuck to the back of a quilt anyway. I have used the hooks to hang a dowel rod or cafe curtain rod depending on the size of the quilt.

dunster, was your paint cured before putting up the command hangers? Once the paint if cured it shouldn't pull off. Make sure that you pull down on the little tab when removing, don't just put on the hanger. I've used these for years and never ever had a problem with painted walls. However, don't use on wall paper.

Yes...they remove paint. I had forgotten that the sewing room has paint over wallpaper (we didn't do it)...until I tried to move one of these....
    But they do stick well....

I use them for quilts. Also use them to hang my design wall at retreats. If you put pressure on it when pulling the tab down after use, they should not do any damage to your paint.

I use them for just about everything, my design wall is up using the command strips and have a full size quilt hanging on it. Have not used the sticky stuff on the fabric but put small safety pins in the quilt and hang them on the hook.
