    Default 4th of July Quilt

    Need some fabric help.

I am making a 4th of July quilt with block that look like the American Flag.
I am going to boarder with white star fabric and now I don't know what do put on the back.

I found some light blue firework fabric that was cute or cute red, white and blue hearts was cute too but I don't want it take away from the front.

    Any thoughts our ideas?

you can't see them both at the same time!!!, so it won't take away from the front--- if it's on the back! sounds great, can't wait to see it ! Welcome to the board!

Welcome from Northern California. As they can't see the back and the front at the same time I don't think it matters that much what you put on the back. They can always turn the runner over and have a different look. Then they would have two table runners in one. Would love to see a picture of the runner. BrendaK

I agree. The only concern you should have with the back is that it will match closely to the thread used on the front especially if you are new to quilting.

Welcome to the board. I think that matching the quilting thread would be most important to me.

Welcome to the board from beautiful western NC! Basically, the backing is a second side, so as long as their is some continuity as to colors, I would think any you mentioned would be fine.
