    Be careful using the magnetic thing for marking a seam width, it could interfere with your sewing machine if it is at all digital or computer operated.

    It shouldn't affect the computerized sewing machine; I use it all the time; it goes on the bed of it. They are made differently than a pc.

    You know, I must have been seeing things. I agree the 5/8" seam seems awfully big. Thank you for all your suggestions and I will try NOT to dream up something again. You are great sewing friends!

    The one I thought I saw was a presser foot that fit on the machine just like the 1/4" one that has a little thing attached the your material stays right against. But, I guess I was dreaming. Thanks.
