I started using Dritz and ran out and just bought 5 cans of 505, all for under $10/can. I really liked Dritz and have high hopes for 505. I love the stuff, no pins! keeps layers together and I travel a lot so haul my sewing with me, it gets a beating some somes but no problem when I go to my sewing machine, nothing out of place.

They send out an ad twice a week. I buy all my rotary cutter blades here because they are $14.90 for 10. The Schmetz sewing machine needles are usually 99 cents for a pack. Fantastic bargains! If the mdse you want is not in the ad, then call them and they'll tell you how to order it. I bought a sewing machine vacuum cleaner for $7.99 from them last week!
Thanks for this site - amazing bargains. Are the rotary blades as good as Olfa? How long do they last? I probably shouldn't even worry about that, because I usually run a blade into the ruler LONG before it gets dull.

How do you get on their Email list?

I use the June Taylor all the time and love it. It is also a lot cheaper than 505. Never had a problem and I have used it for flannel and cotton both. Walmarts around me still have it. I think I saw it at Joanns and Hobby Lobby too.

I've used the June tailor spray, and my only problem was the smell - so I used it outside. It says right on the can to use it in ' a well ventilated place.' The 505 can be used indoors.

I'm so glad to have found this thread. Today I'm about to sandwich the layers of my one block wonder and was going to use the 505 spray I recently bought at a quilt show. I looked on the can for directions...and they are in French, Spanish and Italian...NOT English! However, I think I got enough information online to do the job.

Thanks to all of you who posted ideas and instructions.

Here's my 2 cents LOL. If you DON'T wash it out, the quilt is a little stiff. It gets nice and soft after you wash it out. I was told to spray the fabric instead of the batting at a Sit N sew. Something about melting the batting. It sounds like Nana's didn't melt, so it probably doesn't matter!

I use Sullivans from Hancocks and usually stock up when they have it on sale or when I can use a coupon. The regular price here in OKC is $11.00. I have read that you can use thinned down Elmers, I gave it a try, it left big spots.
