It's high. Mine is in nice condition and had been serviced by a sewing store before I bought it. The store had purchased it and re-sold it to me for $275. The only difference is you have a lot of the attachments and mine had none. I wouldn't pay over $350 for it. Just my opinion.

I paid $300 at a quilt show. I think I paid about $50 too much.

I would say that $300. Is the magic number. Got mine for $299. And it had been serviced and oiled.

That is what I would call an "indecent" price. Way too high.

Keep looking. They are a little more expensive Just Because we live in Canada. I did find one for $200 on kijiji and spent a bit more to get it serviced. That seems to be the average price range I have seen. Half the fun is the hunt, the right one will show up!

I paid $20 for mine at a garage sale, and sold it for $250 and it was in very good condition and sewed perfectly. On CL around here they don't sell for even $300. At least I notice that they are relisted again and again at $300 and higher. So yes, $600 is very overpriced. IMHO

Paid $200 for mine and bought it from the county extention agent so I knew it was in great shape

IMHO, that is way too much. I have 6 FWs -- 4 black (one is a Centennial model), a white and a tan, and I didn't pay over $250 for any of them, including S/H.

I have two, one was a gift and the other I paid $140 for...this one was sold to me because it didn't sew, the reason it didn't sew it did not have a needle in it...lucky me

This is the only one I've seen like it that is complete. Is it local that you can go look at it? Still seems like a lot of money. I think it's a couple hundred overpriced. I would also want to try it out. If you can do all that and they let you try it then ~~^ eh mayyyybeeee.
