Great news, welcome to the world of quilters and hello from NZ, I am pretty much a beginner quilter really, my DH found this site for me and I spend way too much time on it, I could have many more quilts finished by now if he had not found this board! I live in a very rural area, no quilt groups near, this place is like my quilting group, I have made a new friend my quilting buddy in Australia and we chat and send little things to each other and I really enjoy our friendship. Keep up the great work everyone, you are tops!

I came looking for inspiration and have been amazed.
In a week I have decided on the quilt I want to make, found an amazing person, Colleen who has agreed to make it with me even though we are thousands of miles apart and have never met.
Agreed to start a pinwheel project.
Been told about fantastic online stores that I never knew about
Chatted to some really lovely people in the chat room
....all this inspired me to completly sort out my sewing room and organise my stash revealing loads of wonderful fabrics I had completly forgotten about.....
What a week.... Thank you

Welcome! Lived in UK in mid 60's when Beatles became popular. Ex was in USAf, stationed at RAF Upperheyford and we lived in a cotswold cottage in Steeple Aston. Would love to return for a visit one day. Really enjoyed the years we spent there.
Once again, welcome to QB.
