75+ and using computer and quilting
#212
I love this question since my granddaughter (22) is always bragging to her friends that her granny TEXTS. She's proud of me. I've used a computer for yrs. but as for a cellphone, I occas. have to call her to ask how to do something. Love that girl
I'd like to add one more story. A cpl. yrs. ago, she called me to ask how to fix a turkey---her first. When I mentioned she has to take the bag of giblets out of the inside first. She wanted to know how to do that so I told her to put her hand up its butt & pull it out. Oh my gosh, she said "eeeuuuuh that's so gross. I can't do that". I laughed til I hurt at her reaction. I'll tell that story on her the rest of my life.

I am so glad I read this thread. It is so inspiring. I am 57 and my husband just turned 74. He is amazing- works every day. He split firewood this afternoon. He loves to learn new things and stay busy.
Thank you everyone that has shared their story. I have enjoyed reading every post.

Most of us apparently grew up in the Happy Days era. I will be 75 in January. Living happily with my dear husband 55 years. Doing geneology research. It took me 10 years to find my fathers paternal family. New to quilting using a computerized sewing machines. Creating patterns for it on my computer. Living in the sunshine. It is still the happy days. Life is good!

I'm 78 and have been quilting since I was about 20. Also like to make small projects, some quilted, some not. Also crochet and knit. Have made 1500 knitted "Nebraska" baby stocking caps for the local hospital and am still at it. Also spend a good bit of time on the computer as I worked as a clerical person for 35 years. Try to keep busy!
