That's a beautiful quilt. Have fun quilting it.

Do you have your own long arm? I rented one for a king size quilt and it was suggested that I SID the bear claw blocks and meander around the appliqued bears in the alternating blocks. It was a big mistake to try to SID with the long arm. I couldn't get a straight line to save my soul. It looked like a kindergartener did it, but I wasn't about to rip it out and start over. If I hadn't been paying for time on the machine, I would have, though.

I know that a really good long arm quilter could do wonders but as a newcomer to it, I think a panto will be great Your quilt is very pretty and colorful, I love it.

I did buy a used longarm....but have zero-zilch experience. I should probably start on something smaller. But I have a tendency to just jump into everything with both feet. I just need to pray I'm not wearing concrete shoes when I do!

Love the bright colors. It is easy how much work you put in on this. I would call it a masterpiece!
I send mine out to be machine quilted. No patience for that much quilting.
I personally think it would be a major accomplishment to hand quilt it. Admire you if you do this!

Love the quilt, great use of scraps. Not sure how I would quilt it, but I do agree not anything to complicated. It is very striking!!

First of all, your quilt is beautiful. If I were quilting it at home, i might try something custom with the colors and white areas separately. However, if I were renting, or even borrowing time on a friend's long arm, I'd do an edge to edge(pants) in something floral and swirly, since the colors are so fun, and the piecing is so angular.

I've borrowed time on my friend's computerized long arm, and it took me days and days to do some of the intricate custom work that I envisioned. She was very gracious to allow me to quilt to my heart's desire, but I felt bad taking up so much time on my quilt when she had a business to run. Since you've already said you were in a 'get 'er done' mood, I would consider an edge to edge and get 'er done.
