    Your quilt is beautiful.
Why not do an edge to edge pattern with lots of loop de loops.
It would be a good way to try out your longarm.

I love scrappy quilts that don't look like a hodge podge. This one has style and elan AND scrappy charm. Kudos!

I think it is gorgeous! Great way to use up those scraps & have a beautiful quilt too. Great job & I bet you aren't ready for any HST right away!

I love your scrappy quilt.... my favorite kind to make. There is a Facebook page for beginning longarm quilters. Lots of good info there. Good luck!

Your quilt is beautiful and if you are new to long arm quilting I would keep the quilting simple so that the pattern in the quilt pops out. I don't know what type of LA you have but at my last quilt show I was amazed at all of the tools they have to help you create professional designs quite simply. Congratulation on completing a very challenging quilt.

I was also thinking orange peel (in the colored parts). They'd have plenty of poof as well as curve to contrast with the linear design of the blocks. The suggestions of ribbon candy or leaves jumped out at me.

Whatever you choose, my hat's off to you for making 900 HSTs and sewing them together. Wow. I can't wrap my head around that! I made a quilt with 180 and that took me forever.
