? about the accuquilt embroidery designs.
I have the studio and the Go cutters with lots of dies and I have always been curious about the CDs they offer with embroidery but still can't figure how it works. I am looking at the owls in specific and would love to make me a quilt with these. I have the studio die for it but how do i use it if i buy the designs?
Can someone explain to me please if they have done any of these designs?
Thank you.

If you have an embroidery machine, the design would lay down a placement line for the cut out design. Then it would tack it down and continue with a satin stitch or other securing stitch. If you don't have an embroidery machine, the cd will not help you!

The die will cut the design, so you hoop your fabric, stitch the placement line, place the design that was cut by the die on the placement line and then let the emb machine finish stitching. It looks a lot neater and you also dont have to stop and trim after the first line of stitching is done that holds the applique in place. I do this with my cut n scan or print out the design and lay it on the fabric and cut. It saves a step plus its neater than trying to cut while in the hoop..

It really looks neat because the owls are a lot prettier than just plain applique fabric. I guess there is nothing to lose except for to pay for one design and try it :-)
I will update you ladies if I make one soon.
