I am surprised because I thought my Bernina were the oldest. I have a 1020 and a 1530 and the parts are interchangeable: foot pedal, feet. Love both but the 1530 is one of the first computerized Bernina and I love it still.

I believe it depends on the serial # and date of manufacture. I'm not sure. You could ask at the vintageberninayahoo group. Some of the 930's have it, some don't and it's the later models that do. Most machines that have the needle down have the silver thread cutter built into the top of the free arm.
