If it is in great shape I don't think that price is too outrageous. I have not seen a single one where I live in the year I have been watching.

I just heard back from the seller and she says that though the website seemed to indicate that it was a 328K, the stitch regulator says 327k. Is there much of a difference?

She did say the machine is clean and that the motor sounds good. Only thing is that it's missing it's spool pin.

I personally don't think it's worth $100 except possibly from a dealership offering a warranty with it. On the one-on-one market, I would think $50 would be the most it could be sold for......
you want OLD all metal. The ones with plastic anywhere are not as good.

I think that everything said about the 328K applies to the 327K. $100 is too much, especially with the spool pin missing. (It is easy to order a spool pin replacement and install it -- maybe $10 or so with shipping -- but who needs the hassle when the machine is already overpriced???).

Honestly, I would just wait for a better opportunity. If you feel you *must* have this machine, then offer $40. Even if the seller rejects that offer, she might come back to you later when she finds out she cannot sell it for $100.

Ok, thanks. I told her thank you but no thank you, and she e-mailed back telling me she'd consider a lower offer. But, based on what I'm hearing here, I think she'd pretty much have to be giving it to me for me to get it, especially considering it's a three-hour round trip to her town. Oh, well... Appreciate everyone's input!
