    I had made the following post: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-47128-1.htm

    but some people can't open it. I was going to do it over in wordpad but haven't had the time yet.

    I'm sure if you "Search" under abbreviations, you might find a list.

    You can google for the pictures but here are the ones I know:

    DWR = Double Wedding Ring
    GFG = Grandmother's Flower Garden
    D9P = Disappearing 9 Patch
    OBW = One Block Wonder usually an equilateral triangle but can be anything like 1000 Pyramids, Apple Core, Clam Shell, Four Patch Posey, GFG, Tumbling Blocks, etc.
    BA = Baltimore Album
    SBS = Sylvia's Bridal Sampler or Sunbonnet Sue
    DJ = Dear Jane
    LC = Log Cabin

    I'm sure there is a list of all these and more somewhere on the internet. Try googling Quilters Acronyms and see where that takes you. You'll be swimming in alphabet wonderland!

    Jinny Beyer recently published a book with more than 4,000 common quilt blocks. I'm sure there are twice that many. Just google quilt blocks and click on images, and enjoy. :)
