How about a narrow white border and then bind in brown?

I agree with ube...narrow border using the cornerstone fabric. If you don't like this suggestion, I'd go without a border. JMHO.

I am trying to do this entirely with what is in my stash. But maybe this calls for a purchase?

I agree. Try it and see if you like it. You can also do the binding in the same color. You did a very lovely job.

I agree with this. I really like it without the border. The other possibility would be a very plain border.

No border. I would use a thin hot pink/salmon flange or binding. The border you have auditioned would make a nice backing-- could serve as an alternative look for the bed runner.
