    I did the same thing, but I also have these place markers..they work great! They allow you to line up with borders or a seam, so that as you advance your quilt, you can be sure it's not drifting or getting wonky.

    quick question Dunster, on my Gammill the red snapper rods fit into a pre-made pocket on the leaders--it's pretty snug, so wondered if yours like that and if so, how did you get the rod out?
