First, my DH is precious, however, he is very, very particular about things being protected or taken care of. I love my Featherweight (almost as much as I love my DH) and use it daily. If I was in a hurry, I would fold up the extension table on the left of the machine. Invariably, it would bump against the faceplate screw. When he would hear the noise, he would say, "Be careful". After a few times it got old so I was thinking how I could prevent this from happening. Up on the shelf in my "cluttered" sewing room are several ziplock bags of 2" yo-yo's (a UFO). I took one of the yo-yo's and put small pieces of scrap fleece inside. Then I put it over the screw (it is a perfect fit). Viola, the extension table is protected. Now the extension table is silent when placed against the screw, and so is my DH. Shut up one "yo-yo" with the use of another one. Just thought I would pass it on.

Great way to fix two problems at once.
