Another border would be great - & it doesn't matter if top/bottom are different widths than the sides. It IS your quilt after all! And I've seen that done by major quilting authors in books several times. Go for it!!

I definitely think another border is in order and I think you should go with a green. JMHO

Lovely as is ... but a green border would help draw out some of the other colors of the quilt.

If you're wanting to lengthen the ends but not the sides you could add a checkerboard border on both ends and then finish up with a narrow boarder or no border at all just the binding.

ok here is what I may use. Please let me know what you think. I have had this in my stash for over a year and didn't know what to use if for. I love butterflies.

I love your butterfly fabric and the colors are perfect. But I think the print is too big to fit in with the delicate 'feel' of your quilt and detracts from the main body of the quilt. JMHO. Nice jellyroll quilt.

Actually that is what I was wondering if I need a smaller print to not take away from the middle. I have it on my bed to just "look at" for awhile - when I go in I see it and will just let it sit for awhile to see how I feel.
