    I just love the butterflys i just made a quilt with the same butterflys only with black back ground for the backing with a lille on the top and also on the top the butterflys with a purple back ground.

    I think this is the ideal; it has many of the jelly roll colors, yet it is different. It also seems to frame the quilt and the original border so weel. Great combination. Please show us pictures when you are all done. :thumbup: :thumbup:

    Your quilt is so pretty. I would put another border on it also. In green or blue to match the other fabric in the quilt. Scolloped border would add interest and demension. Please show a picture when you decide what to add.

    I'm a newbie too and have trouble with colors and prints. My gut feeling is if you have to ask if it is too busy -- then it is. Hope this helps.
