I machine embroider the information I want on my quilts on a fabric block and then put it on the bottom right corner when I add the binding. The sides not under the binding are turned under and stitched on the quilt back.

I use pieces of fabric from the front of the quilt, I write on the lightest color and add a small border then stitch down by hand. I do the label last. I am ready to put the label on my just finished quilt and am going to try something different and use colored pencils for the information. I printed it on paper and will use my light box and color with the pencils and heat set. I hope it works, I have been reading a lot of information on it to get it right.
