Default Adding pieced borders to small quilt?

I have a small quilt top that I would like to add pieced borders to, to enlarge. I am thinking similar to a Round robin quilt. I thought perhaps I would try to go out of the box-use techniques that I have not used before. Any thought/tips? Thanks!

when you need a quilt larger, you add more borders or another round of blocks or both.... you have blues and yellows and pinks and plaids to work with... plenty of opportunity to add size and still make it look planned...i would certainly look for scraps from any or all of the fabrics used just so you could add them to the next row or two to carry the colors outward... there's a lot of potential and it should be simple to do...
