Inspired LED has free shipping. I think it was about 4 days for my order.

Incandescents were taken off the market because of how much energy they use. In some ways, they were better than fluorescent lights - because the fluorescent lights contain a bit of mercury and have to be handled very carefully for disposal/recycling - but they use far less energy than the incandescent.

LEDs are just plain expensive to purchase, or that's what I would have wherever it made sense to use them

I'll pay the extra for LED before I buy those evil CFL bulbs. I'm planning to sell my ott lite and daylight lamp.

Thanks for sharing they look great and are less expensive than a lot of things they sell for the sewing machine.

I got my lights today. I have a lot of sewing to do in the next couple of weeks so I'm excited to see how it works!

I totally agree--the cord is hidden behind the machine--even if the machine was in the middle of the room and you would be sitting in front of it---my sewing machine cords are black and that doesn't bother me--in fact, most of the lamps I have the cords are black.

The part that gets my goat is that many people I know and trust in the electronics industry say that LEDs don't have to be expensive. It's not new technology, it's not even "especially" hard to make, they charge what they do because they can, because it's "Green". That sounds like extortion to me.

Yes, I still buy LEDs when they're cost effective enough
