    Thanks all for kind thoughts and words of wisdom. I just made up the pattern and am not even sure what quilt category it would fall into. I am quilt-pattern challenged and have problems visualizing the design so I usually just make it up as I go along unless I can find a Jenny Doan U-Tube
    Fabric is Timeless treasures Plume series. It is cotton and is such beautiful fabric, it's a pleasure to work with. They also make Tonga Treats.
    As far as costly appreciating it. Maybe in another 10 years!!!!

    I might try a deep royal purple or even black. It may also depend on the backing.

    As a rule, if you don't want stitching to show, use a shade darker than the fabric. For some reason, lighter thread tends to jump off the surface of the fabric, while darker shades hide in the shadows...
