I didn't see anywhere where the OP stated this was a baby quilt, so I see no reason why she shouldn't glue it.

Copycat, you want a glue that specifies it's for fabric, is permanent and washable, meaning it won't wash away (unlike the Elmer's kind of washable). I've used Beacon Fabri-Tac, and I have friends who recommend Alene's. Good luck!

So far I have written down these suggestions for permanent and washable glues:

Aleenes Ok to Wash it, Jewel it,(yngldy stated she "used both on several washable items, it has been years with very frequent washings, and the projects are still intact.") Becky's Crafts stated "Fabric Fusion". It doesn't make the fabric stiff, but holds really well and dries clear." Peckish has tried Beacon Fabric-tac.

As always, your tips are appreciated. And Peckish is right....the quilt is not for a baby.

Forget what I said! I thought it was a baby quilt. Can't wait to see it finished. Love those yo-yos!

Any type of glue that is PVA is a water base (including most fabric glues). This means that being in water could soften and reactivate the glue causing it to loosen (washing). For a wall hanging, I would use a fabric glue, but for a quilt that will be used and therefore washed, I would add a stitch to hold them own or a glue that is not PVA based (look at ingredients).
