Default Alias Grace on Netflix - Beautiful Quilts

Has anyone else watched the Alias Grace miniseries on Netflix? The show is great and there are some really beautiful quilts through the whole series. My favorite is this one:

I looked around for a similar pattern, but I may have to figure it out on my own minus the snake border. It's a bit advanced for me.

We just saw that a couple of weeks ago. Weren't the quilts stunning? I really enjoyed the story too. Margaret Atwood wrote the book and I love her writing.

That's a tree of life quilt, and there are many variations. That one is stunning.

Most of the patterns for the tree of life are made of many smaller tree blocks. I love how this is one large one in the center<3.

i agree. this is stunning! i sorta like the snake border ..i love snakes. real ones. but tho i understand, i think, the imagery used -the red triangle "apple" ..tree ...snake ..i would substitute triangle border for the snake. i haven't seen this particular tree of life pattern before, and it looks like it might be easier than the one i did.

There are more, but Google images doesn't have all of them.

I watched the show after hearing about it on this board. Loved it! I would always pay attention to make sure she was always hand stitching pieces of a quilt whenever she had a session with the doctor. I always notice quilts in tv shows and movies. Sometimes I miss what's going on or being said because I'm more interested in the quilt in the background.

Geri B, the series is a Netflix Original, so it should be available for a long time.

leighway, it's a really good series, so I am happy to spread the word
