Just finished organizing, by color, 10 "shoe box" containers filled with fat quarters. It should be able to grab what I need for a project. Grabbed a tub that I knew had Christmas fab Found yardage that is NOT Christmas. I must really love red/white pin stripes. Found yardage and yardage and yardage! In the past I would cut stripes on the diagonal for binding. Really nice finishing on the redwork Father Christmas wall hangings.

Thanks for the clip recommendation! I put all my fabric on comic book boards a couple of years ago and wow, am I glad I did that! The fabric room looks fabulous, it stays tidy, it is easy to audition fabrics now, and my sis in law loves to come "shop" at my "fabric store"!

Ugh... the slightly ocd person in me is struggling to get out and do this, lol! Anyone have a pic of how it looks all finished? I've definitely got a space limitation where I am right now...optimizing would be nice!

Pat, what I did before starting this project was to do a Google search and Pintrest for fabric folding using comic boards. I saw such nice arrangements, big and small. I'm about half done. Took care of all the fat quarters and charms that were running amuck in my fabric room. Wrapped lots of yardage too. Worth the hassle and it started to look REALLY bad before it got better.

I saw some one was asking for pictures.
I will go to pictures and load because I cannot see the large paper clip here.

Took a break from comic board folding and started a quilt for Project Linus. Now, ask me I dare you, did I take fab from my newly organized fabric? Nope! Decided to use Jelly Rolls that I don't like now and started making HST. This morning I discovered I forgot what a mess I make while starting a new project. Did take background fabric from a board though...lol

Goal is to sew on this quilt until Sat and then back to the tubs. Sewing is my reward for organizing well done...LOL

I have a relatively small stash...but in following this post over the past week or so, I did sort through my fabrics, tidied up my strip and crumb bins, reorganized folded fabrics by color and weeded out some “tired of looking at “ fabrics. In a recent podcast, I discovered a website where you can sell fabric feelgoodfibers.com
Thank you all for sharing your progress and ideas.

I am still folding and pressing when needed, I found some odd ball fabric with some cut out part on the end so I cut those off and put in a pile to cut for scrap keeping. Yesterday QND was giving away elastic, you pay $2.79 shipping. Just wanted to let you know. Don't know if it was just one day or not. Oh, and I am still measuring the fabric and put a little label note with that under the clip on one end. Happy new year everyone!
