    Default ALTO'S Fabric Cutting System

Hi, I Have had a look at the alto's fabric cutting system on you tube and I think it looks great. The problem is I have emailed them three times and have not got a reply. I know I am in UK but I wanted to enquire about postage etc. Do any of you have this system or is it worth persuing them. Thank you all for so many tips and patterns on this board, I just love getting on each day.

    Best regards
    Vi

I have one and I love it. I honestly don't think I would have progressed to where I am at, quilting-wise, without it. I always had trouble holding the ruler still and straight when cutting, which lead to a lot of frustration and ruined fabric.

I just picked up a used one from Craigslist for a real bargain. Don't know what I'm going to do with two of them, but I couldn't pass it up!

I watched a demo at the Hampton quilt show and it is great. One day it's on my list. I have the Accuquilt and the two would accent each other greatly.

I have one. It's very heavy. I don't know how much shipping will be. I bought it at a quilt show. I had a problem after I bought it and customer service was great, in fact a rep posts here on the board or monitors it for Alto so one may reply to your post in a pm.

We use their Professional system for all our shop cutting and wouldn't be without it.

    Here's there website address: http://www.quiltcut.com/

I'd try calling them direct, or call one of their dealers direct - there is a dealer map on the website - click on the map someplace and you'll get info on the dealers.

My sister gave me hers to use, but it's an Alto system not the Alto 2 -- is there a difference in the two? I think I'd like this better than the Accuquilt Go that my sister & I were gifted together.

You can buy the upgrade to the Alto2. I don't think it's that much difference. I have the Accuquilt Go and use the Alto to cut the fabric to fit the dies. I have the least amount of wasted fabric using the two together. I had a handful of 1/4" strips left over from cutting out a queen size quilt and no miscuts at all.

Yes I would like the 2 Special Edition and that is the email I used. There does'nt seem to be any in UK. Hopefully the member on this board will contact me with a bit of information. I am getting excited now as its only two weeks until we go to Lancaster but have a 7 hour delay at Newark so hope theres somewhere nice to have a meal before travelling on to Harrisburg. Vi
