What do you search for on e-bay? I can't seem to get into an area that has them.

I've had mine almost 2 years and don't work on a quilt without it! I need to replace the cutting mat, so I'm thinking I'll attach an Olfa mat instead of buying the "Alto" mat.
    Hope you enjoy using it!

I don't know how you get the same size cut when cutting more then one strip using the Alto. I even used a magnifying glass to make darn sure I had the guide exactly in the same spot on the cutting line between cuts. I thought it was the guide maybe being defective so I got a new one. I still get different size cuts.

jhittlesewing.com has lower prices than anyone I've seen on the GO and dies - especially when you realize that they don't charge for shipping over $100.

The Go is $218 at most online stores. Bayside Quilting has great sales on the Go and dies. IHAN has low prices too.

Are you holding the cutting guide firmly? There is "give" in the length as you cut, so it must be held firmly in place. It DOES work very well for me :-)

When it comes to anything quilting neither of my daughter would dare say anything I buy, except too much fabric. Neither one has any interest in sewing . I tried to teach but no interest in it. I love my Alto 2 and I use it soooooo much my cutting surface has a lot of ridges on it. Its only 3 years old and I use it a lot. They are worth the money. :) :) :-)

I purchased my Alto Quilt Cut 2, 2 weeks ago at a quilt store in Bend, Oregon. It is great! I love it! Cut the shapes and angles you want, no wasted fabric. :-)

I looked at the 'Go', but the cost of the different cutting disks was a turn off - I'd rather save the money for fabric. Then there was the loss of fabric..... another turn off.

    I hope this helps!

Without having read all the posts yet..has anyone used this system and also the fiskars with the attached blade? I have the fiskars and sometimes have trouble with it but is the quilt cut 2 better enough to invest? Also is it small and light enough to put away and just get out when I need to use it?
