Yes I have used it when I was making a chenille quilt...

could have done it without the tape but that blue stuff really made life a whole lot easier..

I use it often when making quilts, and for other things as well.

I have a roll of blue painters tape in the trunk of our car for when I sandwich quilts at the community center and another at home near my machine at all times.

It seems as I'm working on a project - I forget where I was measuring from - or am too involved in what I'm doing to write anything down.

Thus began my dependence on blue painter's tape.
It sticks great - peels off easily with no residue.

I never really thought about it much until my latest project.
When I was putting my ruler away I looked at it wondering.. how did this make sense?
Knowing perfectly well that at the time I was using it, it was quite rational.
Your ruler looks like all mine do. Love the blue stuff; just enough stick-um to hold in place, but easy to pull off and move around. A friend was over one day and saw a ruler with the blue tape on it and said, "Do you know you have painters tape on your ruler?" I said, "Yes." She was a little puzzled but made no further comments.

Oh yes, I use it all the time. I made some mistakes cutting before I used it, but not any more.

I use Sharpies. They clean off easily with alcohol or hand sanitizer. I tried tape but it seemed....maybe too wide or something....I kept getting confused by which side of the 1" tape I was supposed to follow.
