Wow everyone, thank you so much. I thing the main thing I needed was support from those who have a little more experience then I do. Your words of encouragement have given me the lift I need.
I'm not sure what PP stands for, but I found the pattern online for free, it was the pattern my husband liked best from the choices I gave him for our bed. I tried posting it, but it was edited out as apparently it was copy-written, oops!
And for all curious, you bet I'll post a pic when I'm done!!!

PP stands for paper piecing. I think that would make a great paper pieced block.

I agree with just about everyone on here - I think it is coming together nicely, I think you've done the hardest part, I love the pattern and fabric!
Don't worry - there are always way to make it work!
I think it looks adorable so far!

Need some advice from those who KNOW! I'm awesome for diving in head first. What I don't want to do is get overwhelmed. Did I pick a pattern too far over my experience level? (I've done one quilt, about 15 years ago and all off the top of my head with NO help but my own brain) Please see attached for pattern and how far I've gotten.
I think often 'we' talk ourself out of challenges due to fear of failure. The block looks wonderful and unless we are challenged we will never feel the wonderful emotion of success! You go girl!
