I recently purchased this book, and wanted to know if anyone has tried this method, and what they thought. I haven't been able to get my head around needleturn, and I think the ladder stitch(what is in the book) may work for me. What is a kind of applique you've used, any suggestions?

I do use Ami's method, it works really well once you get into the moves, if you don't do a lot of hand piecing it might feel awkward at first. I only piece by hand since I can break any machine in 0 to 5 minutes. So far I haven't broken my hand...
