    Default Another AHAH!! Moment

after i've prewashed my fabrics i like to saturate them with a starch solution.

    canned starch isn't strong enough.
also, when you use as much as i do the cost really adds up.

a hand-pump sprayer can seem like a lot of work after a while.
my hands get tired. (apparently, they are as lazy as the rest of me. )
the pump triggers wear out, too.

and then it hit me ....

    holds more.
    more durable.
easier on the hands and wrists.
really soaks the fabric with minimum effort.
    and they don't cost much.

Thanks for the idea. There are days that we say "why didn't I think of this way sooner?"

I use a mister with a mix of about 75starch25water. I prewash but don't starch until I'm ready to use the fabric, just the parts I need.
I used can starch before I got my mister at Maryanne Fons shop in Iowa.

Can anyone give more specifics on this item? A product name, description and/or link?
    Thank you!

I believe it is a plant mister, I have friends who use them, some because they can scrunch the pumper with their elbows (whether from keeping their hands cleaner or because of arthritis type issues). Some can be quite fancy/heavy others lighter, it all depends on what you want and how you want to use them.

I'm a pinner, never have been much of a starcher, even when dealing with bias edges, but I was doing a little prototype block today that was making me reconsider that...
