    I agree with Kat Sews....also make sure your bobbin area if free of excess lint. I only use the Quilter's Dream battings but as mentioned above I am not so sure that is your problem. Maybe your tension needs adjusting also. There are all sorts of little problems we don't always realize we need to check out before starting to quilt.

    I really like Hobbs 80/20. Try using a top stitching needle or a denim needle ( recommended by on-line quilt shop).
