I have Bertha because it was cheaper than other cabinets. It was difficult to put togather.
The end pieces do not drop down, they only fold over the top.
It is very heavy since made from pressed board not wood.
But it works for me since my machine is larger than standard machines and I needed a cabinet to fit the larger machines.
It is 7 ft long when open. I dont have room to use the back extension but would like to.
It has plenty of room on the left for quilting .
I bought mine when it first came out so was only $550. You can see it in my Avatar, part of it anyway.

Can you tell me if it is possible to fold either the right or the left extension while sewing if you don't need all the table space for a project? Thanks.

I found out the wallaby will barely fit my machine so I'm going for the Bertha now. A semi-local shop had a great sale on a different one but they sold out the first day.

i have the Horn quilter's dream table, and the ultimate storage center. I can't say enough about how much I love these two pieces of furniture. my quilter's dream table is almost10 years old and has been moved cross country into 3 different houses, the tables are so sturdy and built truly to last a lifetime. These cabinets are expensive, but the quality is worth it. The bonus is they are made in the USA and come mostly assembled. I think I put the wheels on and that was about it!

I've heard great things about the wallaby, but I'm not familiar with the Bertha. good luck with your choice, I'm sure what ever you pick will be the one that is right for you!

There is a shop hop in a town near me next weekend and several of the vendors carry Horn. I wonder if they ever have hop specials. I'm going to wait until next weekend and find out and if they don't, I'll order the Bertha. Maybe I'll call them during the week and find out.

Have you considered a custom actual real wood cabinet. Bebas makes them. You can see them at bebasboutique.com

Do they only have the one model? When I clicked on shop online, it showed only one and it's $3000.

Still way over my budget. I wonder why they don't display any others on their websites.

The website has just been re-done! More will show up as the days go.
