Another flannel quilt question

I've only done it the other way around (cotton top/flannel back) but what would be the difference? I used W&N but then I use that for everything. Can't see why you couldn't use any batting of your choice. Just wash your flannel as it will probably shrink quite a bit.

Don't think it matters with 'mixing' quilting cotton fabric with flannel. Just make sure everything is pre shrunk. Wash, dry and measure the flannel until it stops shrinking. Might take a few wash-dry cycles. the up side is it usually gets thicker & softer. I always use cotton batting.

I do it all the time with Linus quilts. They make such cute kids prints in flannel. I use the poly batting that comes in a ten yard roll 48" wide that I buy at Joanns everytime it is on sale. At any given time I have at least two rolls of it ready to be used.
