I use up my odd color bobbin thread when I practice my FMQ. I bind it.. (More practice) Then the practice sandwich gets used on my table for a hot mat for pots. When it gets soiled I wash it. If it falls apart I chuck it. No worries.
Of course I only use these practice pieces for every day. When company comes... I bring out the good stuff. LOL
