I was wondering how much "shrinkage" you get when you use this tool.... with how it's cut and then resewed - if you start out with a 42x50 and then cut and resew, how tiny will it be? Do you have to start out with a twin size to wind up with a lap size?

If I remember right I think I lost about a third of width when I made a runner, I hope this helps some. the finished block from the 5 inch stating grid size ends up at 3 inches finished .
