I love red and white quilts. In your case I would call that "controlled scrappy". My suggestion is a Pineapple Block quilt. Also a simple block such as Ohio Star in scrappy reds and neutrals can make a big impact.

How about a Bow Tie quilt? I just finished a baby Bow Tie in yellow and white as a baby gift. It's an older pattern and works up fast and is very pretty in two colors. I'm wanting to make a pink and white; green and white and blue and white one also.

I just remembered that I have many 1 yd cuts of red and white but it is bright white. I'm not sure I want to mix bright white with the off-white JR but it can look good. I believe the red JRs are the same very intense red of the other fabric.

I haven't done a bow tie in well over 10 years. I thought of it because of seeing the dimensional bow tie being talked about and I remembered that I did one of those in a sampler quilt. (that still isn't quilted, by the way)

I've never done a Pineapple before.

Ooooh, that link has blue and white too. I like the border on this quilt! Never seen that before. Kind of goes with my avatar quilt with the hearts.

One of the first quilting magazines I bought had a red and white Ocean Waves quilt in an advertisement that I thought looked stunning.

I vote for Irish Chain. This one belonged to my grandmother, but sadly I don't know who made it.

You can't tell from this shot, but many of the reds are different fabrics.
