    how about using the old pattern transfer wheel with the 'carbon paper'. it makes dotted lines instead of solid, but may work better.

    Perhaps you can copy the patterns or better yet scan them into your computer and then print them directly onto fabric fused to freezer paper. then you can size them any way you want and share them.
