Any colors you struggle with?

I notice that I shy away from black, not because I don't like it but because it bothers my eyes when I'm working with it. I don't know why that is either because my eyesight is good.
I'm going to try to use it more because I see some spectacular quilts on this board with black.

I used to avoid greens, but after making a green quilt, I found I can work with it and like it. I don't really like purple much, but I am working on a purple and green Trip Around the World, so go figure .
I love yellow and red. In scrap quilts they make it pop and sing for me. And I'm getting bolder by incorporating more blacks into my quilts too, something I never did before.
The only colors I will not use at all are the neon bright colors... Ugh! I hate those.

I wouldn't say a specific color. My dislikes are more about certain shades of some colors. Can't stand Barney purple, but I like deep, rich purple. I'm picky about light blues. If they have a bit of gray or teal in them, they're ok. But I dislike what most people think of as baby blue. Not a fan of cheddar, either.
My husband, bless his sweet heart, doesn't seem to see shades. He will wear olive green shorts with a kelly green polo and think he's matching because they're both green.
