I will chime in with my thoughts. I have a Singer HD110, heavy duty machine. It is a work horse. It's not fancy, or computerized, but it sews like a champ. I've repaired heavy duty jackets, including zippers, repaired canvas tent/trailer covers, and used it to make new cushions for my couch. If the 6800C is anything like the HD110, it should serve you well.

Before buying the Juki series i would watch all the videos from Juki Junkies. You will learn everything about the TL machines and others. They are reputable and honest, thousands buy from them online for all Juki. They test every machine out of the box before it is mailed or sold.

Well, this sent me down the proverbial rabbit hole of research into this machine. IF...... I needed or wanted another machine, I would buy this one. I have to hem my husband's jeans, he's not the tallest guy but he's cute, and none of my 3 machines will handle the multiple jean seams. I, also, really like that it is Mechanical, and only a straight stitch. Amazon has 2 of these machines for $1,599 with a $500 coupon off that price.
Spend some time on the Juki Junkies Facebook page - you'll read a fair number of stories from people buying via Amazon and having issues with the machines. Gigi and team at Juki Junkies stand behind the machines they sell.

I bought my Juki from a local dealer but if no dealer I would buy from Juki Junkies or another very reputable online shop with excellent reviews. Sew Yeah is another good online dealer for all brands of machines.
