    Congratulations!

I made my DGS (7 months old) 2 'real' quilts, and one 'quilt' made from PUL monsters fabric and a piece of blue fleece for backing. It is supposed to be used for changing him on when the family is out and/or to protect him from the weather.

It took me all of 1/2 hour to make.

Guess which one he LOVES? He stares at all the little monsters and tries to pick them up. It seems to relax him, and he falls asleep. Guess which one Mom and Dad love? (LOL )

There's a pattern by Its Sew Emma called Through the Looking Glass. I have seen it done up in boy and girl versions and it's sew dang cute. I bought some jungle fabric to make it and jus haven't had time but hopefully soon.

Can you draw out your own patterns from a photo?
Here's one I made, designed myself, but never wrote the pattern for.

BeckySt - thanks for sharing the It's Sew Emma site http://www.itssewemma.com/. Definitely go there and look they have several really cute patterns. The only thing I hate is the sites that are offering downloads (especially when it is their own patterns) charging the same as if you get paper patterns. In addition to the one mentioned there is one called Crayons, one with little boats and one with a robot.

This is my all time favorite pattern for baby quilts. It can be made with or without the "B" and picture. It is very quick to make. These are 8 or 9" Ohio Star blocks.

    Congratulations!

I have a sailboat in mind for my imaginery grandson! My dd and sil love to sail so I've already got it planned out - they are going to a have a boy first so that I can make him a sailboat quilt. But I do have a contingency plan. If they should have a girl, I'm still going to make a sailboat quilt - just changing it up a bit.

Maybe if you make the quilts, they will have to have a baby now lol
