    Hello everyone,

I have always wanted to make a Wall Hanging involving the beautiful Peacock. I think this bird is truely magical and as for all the amazing colours....well they are awesome. Has anybody ever done something like this before and if so would love to see any photos. Also suggestions on colour fabric would be ever so helpful.

Actually, the Best of Show winner at Paducah this year was a Peacock quilt (albeit a paisley one).

The quintessential peacock quilt was the one done by Pat Campbell (Jacobean applique and the designer of Fossil Ferns) years ago. It was STUNNING. I just can't find a picture of it right now. I can vividly see it my head. GORGEOUS.

Here is a quilt square that is a beautiful picture of a peacock if you don't want to piece one:

I would say that Woody has provided all the inspiration I could handle. What wonderful peacocks.

Another peacock lover. I have been collecting peacock fabrics for years. Now I need a pattern or a fabric with a beautiful peacock on it. And did you see that peacock quilt that won best of show at Paducah?

Yes! Arabesque. I was calling it something else. No wonder it wouldn't come up in any of my searches.
I guess I skimmed the gallery but not the patterns.

I actually thought it was "her" quilt and didn't realize it was a pattern of hers. Maybe it won a prize at one of the big shows. Can't remember.

Her applique work is/was so stunning. I LOVE her feathers.
(I hope she's recovered. She was really sick a few years ago.)

Thanks so much for digging it up. It was driving me crazy. ;-)
