Default Any ideas re my thread

Hi, I just bought 2 cones of the perfect color blue thread. While running to my car ( it was raining), I dropped my package and promptly stepped on it. I broke my 2 ( last two) cones of thread. The plastic cone the thread is on. Is there any way to use. I really hate to toss it but I guess that's all I can do. The plastic is in a million (at least a lot) pieces.

how heartbreaking. do you have previous cones of the same kind that are now empty? is it possible to slide one inside the broken one to stabilize the broken cone? then put the cone in a mug and thread it through the machine... using a tall thread stand if you have one.

If you can't put another fond in, just put the thread in a cup behind the machine and use it.

My husband has put a piece of dowel in there to hold it all together and then use it as usual.

Perhaps a dowel through the middle will help you, and keep the thread from become a mess~~

Hope you find something that works, I know how frustrating that must be. I have an adapter for my Viking machine that fits inside the cones to let them sit on the spool post. Maybe you could find one of those in the notions isle at JA's or WalMart. Hope you find something that works for you
