There is already a group on the board swapping 2.5" squares but another may be interesting too!

Thanks sewbizgirl Yes I would swap 2" squares too.

Yes, I would be interested in swapping 2" squares if this swap materializes (no pun intended!)

Linmid, you asked how you pm. If you click on the name of the person you want to send a private message to, a little drop-down box will appear and "send private message" is among the choices. Click on that and away you go ...

I am making a postage stamp quilt using 2" squares. 2" squares also come in handy when making a quick doll quilt for the grandchildren, too.

Thank you DDuMouchel I fiddled around with enough buttons and finally figured it out.

I'm gathering my 2" squares for the exchange and am wondering how many of each will be needed. Is there a kind of standard number? I'm going to try to get together 4 sets of 50 different fabrics, plus a set to keep. My thinking is that I'll end up with about 250 squares, which is what I need for the quilt I have in mind.

    Does this sound about right?

Unless you are making a very tiny quilt, I would think you need a lot more than 250. The finished size of the square after sewing is 1.5", so 240 arranged in 16 rows of 15 squares across will measure 22.5" x 24". Doll quilt? To make a full sized quilt you would need more like a couple thousand... which is why people do these swaps!
