I have never hand pieced a quilt, so far. I piece by machine, but I hand quilt every top. Is it difficult to make your hand pieced squares match up for an entire quilt top?

I think it's easier to match up hand pieced blocks than machine piecing.

I hand piece and quilt and machine piece and quilt my quilts just depends what mood I'm in. I do hand work in the evening while I sit with hubby watching tv, I always have a hand project or 2 or 3 (LOL) in the works.

    I hand quilt...I don't even own a sewing machine...lol
right now I am working on a yo yo coverlet for my grand-daughters wedding in July...then I will go back to the embroidered guilt I have started in friendship blocks...
so far I've made and sewn together 1,204 yo yo's...and yes it is all done by hand...no clover tool used...I am a hand crafter at heart...I do all kinds of crafts...

I do machine quilting but always have applique blocks for on the go. I love needle turn applique and always have three or four projects going so have lots ready for traveling, camping, fishing, airports or just watching tv. All I have to do is grab a bag or two depending on the lenght of time we will be gone and each bag has everything needed for that block.

    Hi,
I hand quilt. It takes a long time but I do other things to take a break from the hand quilting. I do feel they look better even though I don't always have time to do it to every single one of my quilts.

I hand quilt only. Don't turn out as many quilts as I could by MQ.

I also hand piece and hand quilt. I'm beginning to branch out to include machine piecing and would like to learn machine quilting. I want to have the option of doing both. Lately I've had to make a lot of baby stuff that I would have liked to just run up on the machine rather than hand do. Don't have a machine that will do quilting easily. I only have a 1970s singer. It can piece on it but quilting is limited
