Go find a Noah's Ark panel and use that for the center and then paperpiece a bunch of animals to go around that.

I have a couple books with animal patterns that I'm willing to part with. All are from a pet & smoke free home.

A Quilter's Ark; More than 50 Designs for Foundation Piecing by Margaret Rolfe; That Patchwork Place; 1997, 112p. Create a menagerie of quilted critters using foundation-pieced block designs! With foundation piecing, you can stitch even the tiniest pieces of these 4" x 4" bird and animal blocks with ease and accuracy. Simply trace a design onto your foundation, add oversized pieces of fabric, and sew on the straight lines with your machine.
•Choose from more than 50 blocks, from panda, giraffe, and rhinoceros to a lion, flamingo, toucan, hippo, koala, parrot, and elephant
•Combine any number of blocks to make small or large theme quilts, or piece your blocks into clothing and other projects
•Complete instructions, patterns for four quilts, and a special ark block are included. $22.95 (also have copy with minor shelf wear to shinny cover for $19.95) - plus shipping

Cat’s Meow: Purr-fect Quilts for Cat Lovers by Janet Kime; That Patchwork Place; 1994; 128p. 19 appealing, original cat (and one dog!) quilts. Easy quiltmaking techniques for all skill levels. Bright color photos of the quilts, showing fun, creative choices of fabrics to use – from snappy polka dots & plaids to dreamy pastels and lace. Use easy rotary cutting, speed piecing, and appliqué. Patterns include: Plaid Cats; Susan’s Cats; MomCats; Santa Claws Is Coming to Town; Stealth; Checkers; Four Brown Cats; Jazz Cats; White Ties and Tails; Kittleson’s Cats; The Motley Crew; Firehouse Dogs; Puss in Bonnets; A Tale of Three Kitties; Sampler Cats; Kelvie’s Kitties; Fish Dreams; Puss in the Center & Cowboy Cats. $19.95 (also have a copy which shows some shelf wear to the cover & minor ding to spine $15.00)-plus shipping

Favorite Appliqué Patterns; Country Critters; Vol.6 (Favorite Appliqué Patterns From the Old Country Store) Designs by Cheryl A Benner, Text by Rachel T Pellman; 1993. Each of these books contains an assortment of 26 appliqué patterns for making quilts. Here are the most requested traditional designs. There patterns are also adaptations of old favorites as well as new designs. The patterns are presented in actual size. The pages in the books are folded in so as to fold out and double in their size to make tracing easy. Listed with each pattern are its fabric requirements, as well as a drawing of the finished patch. Complete instructions are included in each book. Patterns: Bessie; Porky the Pig; Country Horse; Barn and Silo; Curious Bunnies; Mama Sheep & Lamb; Hungry Raccoon; Big Tractor; Morning Cal “rooster”; Mouse ‘n Cheese; Shy Turtle; goose ‘n Clover; Mouser Cats; Rover; Bucky Beaver; Milking Time “cow”; Picket Fence; Baby bunny; Mama Duck; Little Ducklings Follow; Playful Kitty; Nuts about Nuts “squirrel”; Feathered Friends; Wheat Sheaf; Chester “pig”; good Night Owls.
