    my other machine is a janome. so you have good taste in machines :lol:

    Well, I'm bummed. I made an appt. to go tomorrow morning to see it and I withdrew the cash from the ATM today. Just got an e-mail from her that she sold it... If she would have let me come sooner, I would have, she picked the time:< I guess it wasn't meant to be.

    With any Viking you don't need a knee lift because the foot pedal takes care lifting the foot whenever you stop sewing. I have four Vikings and I find that this is a distinct advantage. There is a good deal of information on the web on questions regarding the Designers - I didn't think I'd use the embroidery option but have found it wonderful - quilt tops with combination embroidery and patchword (done with the embroidery module) Good luck if you decide to get it. If you do I can give you places to get info on the internet
