I have never understood why we have scissors with magnetized blades. It is so frustrating to pick up a pair of scissors and find half of everything on the sewing table stuck to them! I lost an earring once, and found it a couple of days later, stuck to my sewing scissors! I have a magnetic "wand" I use to pick up pins and needles around my sewing area, and that is enough. When I pick up my scissors to cut something and find an extra pressure foot or a bunch of pins stuck to the blades, it makes me bonkers. Anybody else get frustrated with these things? I guess they serve a purpose for some, but I have never adjusted to them......

I have never had magnatized scissors but I can see where they would be very irratating. I dont use magnets of any kind around my Baby Lock Elegante because of the computers.

I don't have a computerized sewing machine, but I have wondered if those who do, have ever bought these scissors, not knowing they had magnetic blades. I have several pair of scissors, and all but one are magnetized. I don't use them anywhere near my computer.

I assume the magnet scissor blades are meant to be used to pick up pins and needles, but it sure gets frustrating when you pick up the scissors to cut, and find pins or whatever stuck to the blades. I have a pair of Gingher Dressmaker scissors that do not have the magnetic blades, and I treasure them, but don't like to use them for thread snipping.

Never heard of magnetic scissors and would be afraid to use them anywhere near a computerized machine
