The label post got me thinking, does anyone else sign their quilts? A lady at a quilt group I went to signed all hers with a clover (someone else she knew signed hers) and I thought it was a great idea. Each one I make has a small spiral quilted into the bottom right hand corner. DH came up with the symbol b/c he said that oftentimes when our lives are spiraling out of control, it's nice to just curl up under a quilt to pray/think/cry. I didn't know if it was a common thing to do or not.

I have only done a few wall hangings & two quilts but on the back of each square I date and sign it but also photograph them. I date and sign the whole top when finished but never thought to sign the outside...hmmm.

I embroider(by machine)a frame & info in the frame, right on the border, before layering/quilting. My "frame" is a rose vine/thorns. I always place it at the bottom right corner.

It would help identify your quilt in case of theft.

Excellent idea!!! I may have to work on a cute little "something" to make my quilts "mine." Thanks for the great idea! I DO put labels on (using computer printable fabric, so it can be read), but never thought to have a small design just to signify that it's mine. Super!!

I always quilt my initials and the year in the bottom left corner. The year is very helpful for me... I tend to forget when I made the quilt!
