I've let all my subscriptions lapse also. I noticed after I got on this board that they really weren't offering much and I was absolutely sated here with all of the variety, advice and just plain all around good vibes.

More advertising than quilts or stories - letting all of mine lapse.

I've decided to just let my subscriptions lapse. Guess I am moody too! Have enuf on my to do list to keep me busy for a long time without more mags.

I have to agree as well. What annoys me most about the quilt magazines is that over here anyway they are putting the magazines in side clear sealed packs with two old issues and I like to have a flick through before I buy them as they are so pricey that I only buy them if there is anything that takes my fancy. (guess lots of others do as well which is why they are in sealed packs maybe) Used to love looking through the magazines and would generally6 find one or two which had something in that i liked but am now also finding that this is becoming harder as well with them all being much the same.

Some of the marketing truly annoys me. I got a cd I didn't order with intricate instructions how to return it if I didn't want it. It went right into the circular file. I have been getting bills for it. Surely that is illegal?

They are expensive here, too. Most of the magazines are around the $15 mark, with some nearly $20 and I don't like the ones that are packaged in groups of three for $8 - $10. One can't see what is in the new one and one usually has a copy of the others. I am more inclined to do my own thing now.

I agree, I'm very disappointed with the "new Patterns" especially from F & P the quilts made up are in the most hideous colors and designs. HAve all the designers lost their creativity. I only buy a mag now if their is a pattern it one that I love and intend to make and can only buy through that mag.

A couple of you have mentioned Australian quilt magazines. Which ones are your favorite?

Ditto, all they are about anymore is the fabric lines. :(
